Ordering & Shipping Policies


  • At Food Related, we’re always here to serve you. Place your order any time at foodrelated.com.
  • Select your preferred shipping method at checkout.
  • All orders are subject to the following conditions:
    • Cold and perishable items are only available to order with expedited FedEx Shipping, Curbside Pickup, or Food Related Home Delivery. Not sure if your order contains perishables? Look for the "Special Shipping" note on the product page.
    • Some fragile and highly perishable items may be unavailable for shipment with FedEx. These items may be purchased for Curbside Pickup or Food Related Home Delivery in select Texas areas. Click here to learn more.

Catch Weight Items

  • When you shop at the grocery store, products like meat and cheese are often sold by the price per pound. Some of the products sold by Food Related are the same way. This means that when you order one of these products, the price shown at checkout will be higher or lower than the final price you are charged when your order ships. Here’s how it works if your order contains one of these products:
    • Your method of payment will be pre-authorized for the cost you see at checkout. You will not be fully charged until your final invoice is sent to you.
    • We pack your order with a product as close to the listed weight as possible.
    • We send you an email when your order ships notifying you of the final cost we will charge to your method of payment.
  • Not sure if your order contains a catch weight item? Look for the “Priced by the Pound (Catch Weight)” note on the product page.

Product Availability

  • The Food Related website is updated daily to reflect the current availability of all our products. Sometimes an item will sell out before the site is updated again. In the cart, you’ll have the option to decide which items you’ll accept a substitute for and which ones you won’t.
  • If there’s a specific way you want to be contacted about any possible substitutes, make sure to drop by your account settings to edit your profile information and communication preferences.

Order Cancellation and Modification

  • Whoops! Didn’t mean to place your order yet? It happens. We will do our best to honor any requests to cancel or modify your order. However, once your order has been packed for shipment, we are unable to cancel or change it.
  • The holidays are busy for everyone, us included. Due to increased order volume during the holiday season, all orders placed from November 1st through January 5th are final and cannot be cancelled or modified.


  • Food Related ships all packages through FedEx. Your shipping rate is based on the weight of the products you purchase and the location you are having your items shipped to.
  • You can see your estimated shipping cost by going to your cart and clicking the “Estimate Shipping” button above your order subtotal.
  • We currently do not ship outside the United States.
  • Shipping to Hawaii and Alaska is available, but please note that shipping to these states is more costly than shipping within the continental US.
  • Please see the “Ordering” section of our policies for information on how quickly your order will ship after being placed and for shipping restrictions on perishable items.
