Giuseppe Giusti's Banda Rossa 5 Medal Balsamic Vinegar is a limited-edition, mellow balsamic wine infused with fragrances from 17th and 18th-century barrels from his renowned Great Reserve. This complex and rich wine has a persistent aftertaste and is characterized by plum, black cherries, and sweet spices. For three consecutive years, it earned the 2008 Superior Taste Awards' Crystal Award for its exceptional performance by 43 Michelin Three-Star chefs. Judged by the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale and the 10 most prestigious European culinary institutions, Banda Rossa 5 Medal Balsamic Vinegar received a rating over 90% in each category of evaluation. Giuseppe Giusti was first established as a balsamic vinegar producer in Modena during the year 1605, and ever since the Giusti family has guided the company through 17 generations of excellence using a combination of long term strategy and passion to direct the company. The current generation of the Giusti family, Claudio Francesca, and Luciano combine respect for tradition with a modern company management that is both flexible and sustainable, continuing the tradition of excellence established by their ancestors. This history of excellence is well documented. One of the first awards Giuseppe Giusti received was in 1880 at the Italian National Fair in Florence, where they gold medal for a balsamic vinegar which had been aged for 90 years. From 1889 to 1900 Giuseppe Giusti participated in many international fairs, accumulating many awards and medals for their phenomenal balsamic vinegars. By 1929 Giuseppe Giusti has such a strong reputation and such excellent products that the company became the official supplier of the King of Italy, which would add the Royal Seal of Approval to Giusti products. To this day, with the guidance of the modern generations of the Giuseppe family, Giuseppe Giusti has continued to receive recognition and be celebrated worldwide for the superior quality of its products.
