Sosalt was founded in 1922 by a group of Trapani businessmen with a background in traditional salt production. From the start, their goal was to optimise salt cultivation and collection without negatively affecting the natural ecosystem. With its high production potential, Sosalt grew until it became a major producer in both the national and European markets. Today, the salt-works of Sosalt extends over 800 hectares and guarantees production potential of around 100,000 tonnes.
