    Product Description

    From France

This sea salt by La Baleine is produced through natural crystallisation, and is ground until the white, unrefined crystals have become fine in coarseness. This salt is great for use in cooking and as a table salt for meats and salads.

    La Baleine

La Baleine was founded in Montpellier in 1934, choosing Benjamin Raber’s drawing of a whale as their logo. The drawing of the whale was inspired by one of Benjamin’s favorite characters: Gédéon crosses the Atlantic. La Baleine decided on a whale to both represent sea salt and defend it against the Lion, symbol of refined “land” salt from the Franche-Comté region. After decades of growth, today La Baleine is an established brand with a presence in over 40 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and America.
