From Ireland - Frozen
Hanger steaks, also known as hanging tenders or butcher steaks, come from the section between the brisket and the flank of the animal. Similar in texture to a skirt steak, they stand out due to their unique, rich and beefy flavor which almost resembles game meat or liver. Similar to skirt steaks, hanger steaks particularly benefit from being marinated and quickly cooked.
- Cooking Suggestions: Hanger steaks can be cooked using grilling, broiling, or pan roasting methods. To enhance flavor, marinades can be used, such as wine, citrus juices, and vinegars. To maintain juiciness and flavor, cover the steaks in foil and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before serving or slicing. If slicing, cut against the grain to increase tenderness.
