Imported from Spain and known as the “Queen of Almonds”, Fried and Salted Whole Marcona Almonds are shorter, rounder, softer, and sweeter than other almond varieties and are prized for being more tender and delicate as well. Lightly salted, these almonds are fried in olive oil, adding a buttery, savory flavor. Like all almonds, Marcona almonds are an excellent source of protein, antioxidants, iron, calcium, and cholesterol-lowering monounsaturated fats. These almonds perfectly enhance salads, cheeses, desserts, and fruits, and are frequently used in Spanish tapas and turron, or eaten on their own.
