The Ezzo family has been making quality meats in the US for over 100 years, since 1906 when Dominic Ezzo immigrated to the United States and opened his own grocery store. In 1971 an electrical fire destroyed the family’s North Vernon factory, prompting Dominic’s son John Ezzo to send his son Scott Ezzo to search for a new home for Ezzo sausage. He converted small meat locker in Columbus Ohio into a production facility, and Bill set out to sell the sausage to grocery stores and neighborhood pizzerias. The sausages were such a big hit that Ezzo Sausage has had to expand multiple times in order to meet demand.
