Producer Spotlight
The beginnings of the Signo de Oro brand date back to the early 1940s, when Italian immigrant Sperandido Signo de Oro arrived in Buenos Aires, Argentina and worked in the Tuñín de la Boca to learn all about pastries. He soon began manufacturing artisanal tapas for empanadas, pascualinas, and cakes. In 1955 he was joined by his daughter’s husband Don Carlos Giganti, teaching him everything he knew and working together with him to master the art of tapas and empanadas together. After Don Sperandio died in 1979, Don Carlos, assisted by his wife and children, founded H Berolini SRL with the pillars of knowledge, perseverance, honesty, and quality he had learned from working with his father-in-law.
