Maldon Crystal Sea Salt Flakes have been produced with the same traditional artisanal techniques since 1882. Maldon was established in 1882, founded with the goal of producing salt through artisanal methods in the coastal town of Maldon. For four generations, Maldon has been harvesting naturally formed pyramid crystals, led by the Osborne family from day one. Maldon is currently in the hands of Steve Osborne, who has followed in the footsteps of his father Clive, grandfather Cyril, and great grandfather James. In 2010 Maldon welcomed Her Majesty The Queen to their salt works, and was granted a Royal Warrant as official purveyors of sea salt in 2012.
