Early in the 20th century, young Pietro Colombo followed in the footsteps of his father Giovanni by learning how to age and produce gorgonzola, which would eventually become the trademark cheese of the Colombo family. Pietro later perfected this recipe even further to produce a remarkable gorgonzola called Cremificato. Today, after over a century of fine cheese making, the Colombo name continues to be associated with quality and innovation.
