Mario Fongo's "long-lasting love story" begins in 1945, when the Fongo family began a lofty tradition of Italian bread making by opening Rocchetta Tanaro’s first village bakery. The family’s passion, dedication, and sacrifices paid off in 1993 when Mario Fongo perfected his Mother-in-Law’s Tongues recipe. The delicious and crisp flatbread instantly won over many people, developing a loyal fanbase and coming to represent Mario Fongo products around the world. Continuing his father’s legacy, Giovanni and his wife Marta are currently leading the company with a passion that was inspired by Mario Fongo and his wife Vittoria.
