The holiday season is a time to gather with loved ones and share the amazing gifts of the human spirit. A spirit that rises above beliefs or credos. That brings joy and peace. That is given freely beyond the walls of our comfort zone.

As we celebrate the holidays, let us be reminded that we all have so much to give. Each one of us can help bring about the change we all wish for. We can make a true difference and bring hope to every person we meet with simple acts of kindness.

What better gift could we give or receive than peace of mind.

To cease worrying and stop living in the fear imposed upon us.

Isn’t it time we all take a deep breath and decide to smile at all those we meet, be kind to those who may not reciprocate, maybe even call an old friend or family member we stopped talking to because of conflicting beliefs?

Isn’t this the perfect season to erase the lines being drawn between us, and realize we are all living in the same house? To stop pointing out our differences and realize those same differences are the foundation of a strong society. To talk less and listen more.

So, let us open our hearts and set free the love we hold inside. Without shame, without fear. But with courage and hope.
