The lush, bountiful farmland region of the Shenandoah Valley has a long history of agricultural tradition and innovation. This is where Corwin and his cousin Jefferson grew up learning about farming and food production. The company name Shenandoah Valley Organic came from Corwin’s desire to have the business recognized as a clean-food company first and foremost while paying homage to his past experiences in Shenandoah Valley. After hearing out the grievances of local farmers, SVO starts with raising Organic chickens on two family poultry farms. The subsequent growth called for SVO to partner with additional farmers and open a processing facility. By 2016 SVO products were being sold in 500 stores, and the company became a 100% organic company.
