Couscous Fine Precooked by Rivoire & Carret is a completely natural product made with pure durum wheat semolina and pre-cooked with steam in order to make preparations quicker and easier.
Store in a cool dry place. Couscous quick cooking instructions (to serve 3 or 4, 1-1/4 cups of couscous).
- In a large saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a rolling boil. Then add one dash of salt and one teaspoon of oil.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle 1-1/4 cups couscous into the water while stirring gently.
- Cover and let rise for 2 minutes (all the water should be absorbed by the couscous).
- Add 2 or 3 dabs of butter (or margarine) then return to low heat for 3 minutes, stirring with a fork to separate the grains.
