Don Filippo De Cecco founded De Coco in 1886, leading the company with the knowledge and wisdom, which had been nurtured and passed on from father to son each generation, that he received from his father Don Nico de Cocco. With a commitment to traditional craftsmanship and a healthy amount of inventiveness, Don Filippo Giovanni De Cecco created a low temperature drying device that could dry pasta regardless of weather conditions. This innovation allowed De Cecco to thrive and grow. Following World War 2, De Cecco continued experiencing periods of rapid growth, resulting in new plants and factories being built, as well as periodic modernizations. While time changes many things, the De Cecco brand’s dedication to premium quality has remained unchanged, with the deep passion for pasta and a pursuit of perfection continuing to pass from father to son each generation to this day.
