Taragui / Union

Las Marías, producer of the brands Taragui and Union, was founded almost a century ago by Don Victor Navajas Centerno, using an estate in the Argentine province of Corrientes to plant his first yerba mate plantation. With Las Marías, Don Victor was able to unite the land with the town and its people, in the process establishing his agricultural business in Las Marías and creating one of the southernmost yerba mate plantations in the world. Once the business was successfully established, Don Victor set upon the goal of controlling the entire yerba mate manufacturing process, from seed to packaging, in order to guarantee the best quality from start to finish. Since setting out on that mission, Las Marías has become a standout amongst the most important yerba mate producers in the world.
